Larks by the Lake 2007

Larks by the Lake is a yearly fundraiser organized by the Watermead Parish Council with all proceeds going to the Village Hall Renovation Fund.

Larks is taking place in the Balloon Meadow on the second May Bank Holiday, Sunday 27th May 2007 starting at 1pm. Many of last years popular attractions will be there together with some new ones and hopefully a return of the helicopter which was so popular in 2005.

Most stalls will be closing at 6pm but following on from that the Parish Council has arranged a concert for all to enjoy. This year the entertainment will be in the Fisherman’s Meadow. If the ground is damp and prevents the stage getting onto the field the small bandstand will be used instead. The concert is free but there will be a collection to help cover costs.

Invisible-Dog, a local well established part time band with Watermead connections head the bill. The five men (guitar, bass, keyboard, drums and vocalist) play a mixture of current pop/rock that will suit all the family.

Unfortunately this event is planned months in advance and long term weather forecasts aren’t available. The Parish Council have no control over the weather and I am sure they are as unhappy about it as you are.
